Each fall and spring semester, the Graduate Student Association and the Graduate School sponsor a seminar on completing a thesis or dissertation. The session covers topics that include beginning the thesis or dissertation writing process, selecting a topic, establishing a thesis or dissertation committee, establishing a realistic timetable, determining the detailed steps to include in the timetable, organizing the manuscript, avoiding common problems in writing a manuscript, and avoiding common problems that slow down the process.
