Graduate Recruitment Events
In addition to visiting other campuses and Graduate Fairs, The Graduate School coordinates a number of recruitment events on the UA campus. Various special groups also host small events on campus. Any student interested in pursuing graduate study at The University of Alabama is cordially invited to attend the programs organized by the Graduate School office:
- The Graduate School Preview Day - held in fall each year
- McNair Visitation Day - Held in conjunction with the Preview Day event, the McNair Visitation Day is a special event for McNair Scholars from other universities who are interested in pursuing a graduate degree at The University of Alabama. Special sessions are held in the morning and early afternoon, which include a campus tour, lunch with current graduate students, and faculty and student panels on special topics. Then McNair Scholars join the Preview Day participants for additional information sessions. The Kaplan Education Center, Inc. (now offering graduate admissions test preparation classes through The University of Alabama Center for Teaching and Learning) will be on hand to provide students the opportunity to take a FREE practice test for the GRE, GMAT or LSAT.
- Graduate School Diversity Day - held in each Spring semester; Graduate School Diversity Day is intended for minority students currently studying at UA and undergraduate students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU’S) who are interested in pursuing a graduate degree at The University of Alabama. This year’s event will be held Thursday, April 3, 2008.
