Awarded annually to one or more students based on scholastic potential and need. EBSCO Endowed Library and Information Studies Scholarship. Awarded annually based on academic achievement and merit to a Ph.D. student. Mary Elizabeth Webster Edwards Endowed Scholarship. Awarded annually based on scholastic potential and need. Pauline M. Foster Endowed Scholarship. Awarded annually to a student from Alabama specializing in school librarianship. Mildred and Karl Harrison Endowed Scholarship. Awarded annually based on scholastic potential and need. Library School Association/Ruth Waldrop Endowed Part-time Student Scholarship. Awarded annually to support part-time students. National Alumni Association Graduate Fellowship. A $14,000 stipend plus fall tuition to a SLIS student each year who is nominated by the department each spring. The source of this fellowship is the National Alumni Association's Collegiate License Tag Endowed Graduate Education Fund. The award is based on academic and professional record and potential to make an outstanding contribution during their careers to the lives of the people of the state of Alabama. James D. Ramer Scholarship. Awarded annually to help defray the cost of summer school study. Jewell Sandoval Endowed Support Fund. Supports student research and special projects. Nannie Davis Curry Scholarship, $500 annual scholarship to students in the School of Library and Information Studies. Fannie Schmitt Endowed Scholarship. Awarded annually based on scholastic potential and need. SLIS Minority Endowed Scholarship. Awarded annually to students of a minority group. H.W. Wilson Scholarship. Awarded annually based on scholastic potential and need. Kenda C. Wise Endowed Scholarship. Awarded annually based on scholastic potential and need. Powers-Meriam Wyman Endowed Scholarship.
